Why Are Police Sunglasses Seen As Being So Cool
Police are an Italian brand launched in the early 1980′s, currently enjoying global appeal and ‘cool’ status. Originally modelled on the sunglasses worn by the Italian police (hence the name), Police sunglasses are now considered to be some of the most wanted and stylish fashion accessories available to buy today.
Like a lot of other major designer sunglasses, Police sunglasses were first put out whilst the ‘cult’ of Ray Ban was making retro sunglasses popular all over the Southern hemisphere. Police (the brand not the real thing!) are known all over the world for their mirrored aviators, although they have now expanded their portfolio to include other styles.
Police are particularly renowned for the slickness and cool factor of their designs and their marketing /ad campaigns; this has been one of the primary factors in the brand being considered ‘cool’. They’ve always done a very good job advertising and marketing their shades; cleverly using celebrities to endorse their brand. Bruce Willis and Antonio Banderas were brand spokesmen during the nineties and then George Clooney during the early 2000′s. Since the early 2000′s, the brand has been heavily endorsed by the likes of Lady Gaga and David Beckham. The utilisation of this level of celebrity to endorse your brand has seen Police sunglasses elevated to cult status; now being seen as one of the coolest sunglasses brands on the planet. You’d be amazed how regularly Police sunglasses appear nowadays in TV, film, music and advertisments. The Police brand has become renowned world-wide for being exceptionally stylish and will always be seen as cool for either men or women.
Let’s not forget the range and variation of the Police catalogue. Always adding to and updating their catalogue, Police represent some of the most chic, stylish sunglasses availabel to consumers today. Police always appear to be aware of and on top of current trends and they have some of the hottest shades available on the market today..
