Trench Coats; Cover Me
|
I love a fabulous winter coat like the next gal, but all I can say is thank goodness its getting closer and closer to the time to switch gears into transitional clothing mode. It feels like forever and a day, but very soon we can all put away our bulky sweaters and winter coats in the closet and leave them there until next year. It is not fair that some of you lucky ladies and gents have reached that point already, so now is the time to do some serious shopping for your transitional outerwear. It’s time to shop, in order to be prepared for the next wardrobe change the moment it is necessary! While it may not always be in the forefront, the trench coat is always on the fashion scene. Once the snow turns into rain and the rain becomes an occasional pain in the hiney, a trench coat is the perfect choice when you step outside; it looks great rain or shine. When I hear the word trench coat my first image is the classic tan trenchcoat made “famous” by being worn by Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall and is one of the signature items from Burberry. The classic trench coat is as much a wardrobe basic as an iconic fashion item. The classic tan trench coat is one of my favorites as it will always be in style no matter what. The nice thing is it can keep you looking stylish all though the year. You are sure to find a trench that blends with the rest of your wardrobe, even if you are not a fan of the classic style. Check out how clever designers have been translated all of 2011’s trends into fabulous transitional trench coats in both long and short versions, while including more in the way of whites, bright colors, embellished and prints.
