Taking Your Mum To London On Mother’s Day.

Nothing compares to a Mothers Day break in the capital. You’re literally spoilt for choice with the options open to you in London to really treat her, so here are a few suggestions.

She’s probably never indulged herself, so a spa break would be a good opportunity to pamper her with some seductive spa treatments and therapies. To show your gratitude for all the meals she’s cooked for you and all the socks she’s darned for you, whisk her away to one of the capital’s luxurious hotels or spas for a truly indulgent day of facials, massages and more. One to be recommended is the Wellbeing Break offered by The  Courthouse Doubletree in their Sanook Spa, where there are a range of treatments on offer including  Dermalogica facials. After a range of treatments, she’ll then be able to relax in the sauna, steam room or swimming pool.

Alternatively, you might wish to take her for a slice of luxury in one of London’s top restaurants that is offering an afternoon tea for two experience. There are many impressive options available from the grandeur of Fortnum and Masons to an afternoon cruise on the River Thames. Many of the famous London landmarks have opportunities for you to indulge in a nice cup of tea and a pastry with your mum. With the many tasty packages available, you can enjoy the delights of St Paul’s Cathedral, Hampton Court Palace or even a riverside view of the Tower of London and Houses of Parliament.

For something more adult and palatial, treat your mum to the Hendrick’s Gin high tea experience which is held in central London at Hush. As well as a range of tasty cocktails, macaroons are served too as well as part of the experience.

London’s Theatreland is the envy of the world, so why not treat your mum to a theatrical break and both take in a West End show? Before the start of your evening, you can both enjoy a two course pre-dinner meal at one of Theatreland’s many restaurants before taking in a memorable show. There is a wide range of shows on offer from the old classics like woman in Black and Blood Brothers to new productions like Wicked and Dreamboats, but whatever show you go and see, your mother is bound to be thrilled by it.
