Today’s Man Knows What He Wants And Grabs It
Women are realizing that men suffer with many insecurities, just as they do. In the past, men have hidden their feelings for fear of being perceived as weak. Today however, men often unreservedly admit to comparing themselves to others, wishing they had better bodies, good looks and greater sex appeal.
Like women, men are subjected to ideal body images in magazines, and get hung-up about their weight and fitness. The feminist movement saw many men almost feeling redundant, but today’s man has come to terms with how he should behave and respond to women. He is more balanced about his role in life.
Many men opt to stay at home, clean the house and care for the children whilst the wife goes out and earns the money. This was unheard of before. They are also not afraid to enjoy formerly women-only hobbies. They have learned to balance work, family and free time.
Today’s man cares about his appearance. Gone are the days of going to the barber for a short back and sides cut. Men follow hair style trends and enjoy a relaxing neck massage while having their hair styled. They know the value of using sun block, moisturizer and expensive after-shave balm and cologne.
Part of this investment in looks, men have really become fashion conscious. Male oriented magazines devote many pages to new clothes, and especially shoes. A smart pair of brown boot will make a fashion statement to many women. Women always notice what shoes a man is wearing, so don’t forget to keep your shoes clean and shiny.
If you work in a corporate environment, shirts with long-sleeves and collars in at least 5 different colors and designs are vital. Invest in a 3 to 4 pairs of flat-front trousers. Include colors such as black and grey and also have a well-cut linen suit.
Cuff links are still fashionable and come in different shades and materials. A leather watch strap never goes out of fashion and they are comfortable to wear. You can choose from many types such as glossy, matte or crocodile skin.
If you are a sports fanatic, it’s best to invest in a men’s sport watch. When choosing a watch, it is important that to select a suitable one. If you spend a lot of time in the water, buy one that is completely waterproof and scratch resistant. There are watches that measure your heart rate and other vital signs, and some even come with a built in GPS system.
