An Additional Benefit From FitFlop Toning Shoes

The FitFlops shoe collection is turning out to be very popular with women everywhere. They are toning shoes – when you walk around in them they will help you to get a toning lower body workout for your legs and backside. It’s not too hard to see why busy women love these shoes – and there are plenty of reviews for them both online and offline.

One thing that you may not see so often in online reviews on the subject of FitFlops – but which will almost certainly be mentioned very early in the conversation if you speak to a FitFlop wearer – is the fact that FitFlops are wonderfully comfortable. Reviews, quite naturally, generally highlight the toning benefits associated with FitFlops. It’s hardly surprising – a shoe that gives you a lower body workout just by walking about in it is a pretty big deal.

This is achieved by the use of a specially shaped and designed sole which generates a small element of instability. The lower body muscles do their best to maintain the natural balance of the body and the result of this is that they do a little extra work.

However, the same sole which provides that lovely toning and trimming effect, also provides additional support for your feet – in the arch area in particular. It also increases the contact area between the sole of the foot and the sole of the shoe. That reduces the average pressure which the weight of your body exerts on the feet – and that’s what makes them so comfortable.

Should you have the chance to talk with a FitFlop owner then be prepared for the fact that many of them own more than one pair. Some people will actually have several pairs. The first pair are typically bought in order to get a free lower body workout. It’s the comfort factor that encourages them to buy further pairs. Be warned, FitFlops can actually be somewhat addictive.

It’s noteworthy that the newest addition to the FitFlop clogs range, the Gogh Pro clog – is specifically aimed at hospital and shift workers. Anybody who tends to spend a lot of their working day on their feet in other words. They have the exact same design of toning soles as all the other shoes in the FitFlop collection – the only difference is that it is no-mark, no-slip. They also feature a pivoting ankle strap for a secure, yet comfortable, fit with the ease and convenience of a slip-on shoe.

These have only recently hit the market in the UK and should be available in America shortly.

How To Get Just A Little Bit More From Your New Winter Boots This Year

Once the clocks go back, you can be sure that winter is well and truly on its way. It gets dark earlier every night and the weather gets a little cooler every day. It won’t be long before there’s snow on the ground. On a positive note, it’s time to treat yourself to a new pair of trendy winter boots.

Clearly there’s no shortage of styles to choose from. Fur boots and leather boots are perennial favorites. When it gets really wet and windy you can still be fashionable in a pair of colourful Hunter boots – wellies with style. After all, if they’re good enough for royalty, then they’re always going to enjoy a certain cachet.

But why not ask for a little extra from your winter boots this year? What if you could get a pair of boots that not only looked good but which helped you to look good as well ?

Toning shoes are a relatively new concept on the market. They are specially designed to help you to tone and trim your lower body just by walking about as normal. There are a number of different designs and brands available on the market, including winter boots. Most of them work by using a special design of sole which encourages the muscles in the lower body to do a little extra work.

Skechers Shape Ups and Masai Barefoot Technology (MBT) Shoes both incorporate curved soles which are intended to reproduce the sensation and gait of walking across soft sand. Reebok Easy Tones and FitFlops sandals, on the other hand, feature soles which are intended to generate a very small imbalance whilst walking. The leg and butt muscles attempt to restore the body’s natural balance – doing a little extra work in the process.

It’s not too difficult to see why the prospect of a lower body workout just by walking around as normal would be an appealing prospect to many people. After a long day at work, looking after kids or just doing general, mundane daily chores, it can be difficult to find either the time or the energy to pay a visit to the gym. For many busy women, toning shoes must seem like a dream come true .

A number of independent tests seem to back up the claims of increased muscle activity as a result of wearing toning shoes. There’s also plenty of extremely positive feedback from satisfied users. However, there are those who question the claimed results. Many question the veracity of the tests, pointing out that they were funded by the footwear manufacturers. Relatively small sample sizes are frequently raised as a reason to doubt the results. There do seem to be two opposing camps. However, if all that toning shoes do is encourage wearers to walk a little further during the course of their daily routine, then that’s a very positive result in itself.

Getting A Free Lower Body Workout By Choosing The Right Winter Boots

You can be sure that winter is well and truly on the way when the clocks go back. The days get shorter and the temperature starts to fall. It won’t be long before there’s snow on the ground. On the bright side, it’s time to treat yourself to a new pair of winter boots.

Clearly there’s no shortage of styles to choose from. Leather boots and fur boots are always popular choices. When it gets really wet and windy you can still look good in a pair of colourful Hunter boots – wellies with style. After all, if they’re good enough for royalty, then they’re always going to enjoy a certain cachet.

But why not ask for a little extra from your winter boots this year? What if your new boots didn’t just look good but helped you to look good as well ?

The latest development in the footwear market is toning shoes. They are specially designed to help you to tone and trim your lower body just by walking about as normal. Many of them look like fitness shoes – but winter boots are now available as well. Most of them work by using a special design of sole which encourages the muscles in the lower body to do a little extra work.

Masai Barefoot Technology (MBT) Shoes and Skechers Shape Ups both feature specially shaped soles which are intended to reproduce the mechanics of walking on soft sand. Reebok Easy Tones and Fit Flops sandals, on the other hand, have soles which are designed to produce very small imbalance whilst walking. The leg and butt muscles attempt to restore the body’s natural balance – doing a little extra work in the process.

It’s easy to see why a free lower body workout just by walking around in a different pair of shoes would be an attractive prospect for many peole. After a busy day at work – possibly with a commute at either end – running around after kids, or just doing general daily chores, it can be extremely difficult to find either the energy or the time to visit the gym. For many busy women, toning shoes must seem like a dream come true .

A number of independent tests seem to back up the claims of increased muscle activity as a result of wearing toning shoes. There’s also plenty of extremely positive feedback from satisfied users. However, there are those who question the claimed results. The fact that many of the “independent” tests were financed by the footwear manufacturers is enough to raise doubts in many people’s minds. Small samples sizes are also cited as a problem. Clearly, there are two sides to the argument. Nevertheless, if toning shoes do nothing more than encourage wearers to walk more often, then that’s a good thing in itself.

Fitflops – Take The First Step To A Trim New You

Marcia Kilgore, an ex personal trainer, just couldn’t find enough time to visit the gym – so she took steps to resolve the problem. Working together with the London South Bank University (LSBU) she conceived of and developed a range of fitness shoes known as Fitlops.

These use a specially designed three piece sole called a “microwobbleboard” to provide the wearer with a workout while walking around normally. High density material is used in the heel section so as to reduce shocks whilst walking. The mid section of the sole, between the arch and just behind the toes, is made from a low density material. The toe section is manufactured from a medium density material.

These three distinct areas, and the different materials used, combine to increase the duration of muscle activity during normal walking. The muscles work for up to 16% longer than normal – which means that every step you take in your Fitflops trims your legs and tones your buttocks.

In 2006, after extensive testing at LSBU, the Fitflop range was launched in the UK. They were an immediate success and some customers even had to join a waiting list just to get hold of their Fitflops. To begin with the range consisted mainly of flip flop type sandals. However, customer feedback suggested that other styles were required and the range was expanded. Today, you can choose from a wide selection of Fitflop sandals, boots and clogs in both male and female styles. Some of them look great. There are plenty of different colors and styles to choose from and, best of all, they’re now on sale in the USA.

So if you struggle to find enough time to visit the gym, or even if you just find it difficult to motivate yourself to take exercise, then why not consider getting a pair of Fitflops? In order to get the benefit of a lower body workout, all you need to do is pull on a pair of Fitflops instead of your normal shoes and then just walk about as normal.

Top 5 Tips For Buying Sandals On The Internet

Most budget conscious buyers find purchasing

sandals online saves time, money

and gas.  One of the best methods to buy sandals

online is by searching for girl’s sandals,

specifically dress or casual sandals such as fit flop sandals

Buying for any type of shoe on the Net,

especially sandals the shopper must know the

actual size, style and color desired before

confirming the order.

Figure what size sandal you wear

one.  Go to alocal shoe store,

inspect the sandals and have them measure your feet.

Measure the size and width of your feet for either a closed shoe or

sling backs.  Try on one or two sandals in different styles to

work out if the straps cut across the width, if the

shoe rubs your tiny toe, or the heel is too high.  Walk

around wearing the shoes to see if they’re

snug.  Keep this data

and use it when buying the sandals on the web.  Make sure you note the

type of the sandals and the price asked in the

stores.

Cheaper Brands are much cheaper on the web

2.  Search for the exact or similar sandals online .  Not all online shops charge a similar price, although it is

easier to buy on the internet than

in a real shoe store.  Purchase 2 pairs

if you absolutely love the sandals and fit.  Buy the

sandals in every color if they cost a lot less online than in a regular shoe store.

Price different brands of high quality

three.  Compare costs between designer sandals and the

cheaper brands.  Designer shoes usually have better

arch support and comfort.  The price might be

a little more but the fit will give miles better support.

The designer brands might be priced differently depending on

the store.  Shop the internet for a specific

designer label and look for the exact sandals you

wished to buy.  Comparison shopping is great on the

internet so exploit it.

Know who you are Buying From and what the return policy is

four.  After you have established your

accurate size, and found the sandals you

fully ‘must have’, inspect the

Net site’s return or exchange policies.  Brands such as fitflops are easy to return.

Moreover, before purchasing, make sure you will

be ready to receive money back in case the

shoe doesn’t fit comfortably or not the correct size.

Always pay via pay chum or by credit card.  Never send a check.  You could need

help if the Net site declines to make a

cash repayment and at most will exchange

for a different shoe.

When trying on your new sandals be careful not to damage them

five.  If you buy new sandals, for instance fit flops, never wear the shoe’s out ofdoors until you

know the shoe’s are comfy.  Walk around with the

shoes only wearing them on the carpet for one or two days.  Make sure the soles of the shoes do not get

scratched or marred in any way or the store might not issue

either a repayment or exchange.

Fel the fat flop with the fitflop

Fit Flops

I think I have just seen gods gift to women! Shoes that you can wear that are both comfortable and help to tone and trim your legs – Fit Flops. According to the hype, sores and aches (especially back) can be relieved by using FitFlops.

Be aware when you first buy a pair of fitflops as you should limit your usage to 3 hours a day. They are marketed as the flip flop with the gym built in.

FitFlops are currently selling like hot cakes due to the sudden change in season (I can see some sunshine through my office window) and I’m still deliberating whether to buy a pair.

Having learnt to walk and talk, my toddler still loves me to carry him – putting a lot of strain on my poor back and causing problems. I could also do with shedding a pound or two which I haven’t got round to losing since my pregnancy. I am still not convinced enough to part with my money.

Imagine my relief not to buy a pair of Uggs when I saw the terrible state they ended up in after being worn for a while. In fact, perhaps after a long winter of Ugg wearing and treading down the back of your boots, FitFlops are what you need to sort out your posture again!

Methinks that I might buy my mother a pair for her Mothers day gift and see how they work out for her.

They come in a range of coulours – white, blue, black, pink and more. Hi-Tec are a brand that are interested in working with fitflop to develop a new shoe.

Currently, they are only designed for women but they are working on some for men. My father is really going to appreciate a  gift of bum-toning fitflops this year.
