Original Wedding Dress Trends Designed For 2011
I have had the enjoyment of purchasing, helping design, and walking down the aisle in two gorgeous bridal gowns in my years, but have never had the romantic, ultra chic wedding gown alternatives that are gracing the altars in 2011.
Dress designers have given the conventional, often times oh-so-boring bridal gowns that we’ve seen in years past and taken them to a new level, with hand embroidery, vintage lace, large floral appliqués, hand stitched crystals, shorter styles, ruffles, beading, and splashes of color like red or black. Profoundly romantic with lots of modern texture.
My personal favorite new bridal dress trend are the jeweled belts that lots of designers are accessorizing their gowns with. The style flatters just about one and all type, in particular when you have a curvy or hourglass figure.
Another trend that i’ve found to be ultra sexy are the modern designed, lower cut backs that are being designed with the one shoulder style bridal dresses. The shoulder strap is much slimmer at the top, just scarcely grazing the bride’s shoulder. This style is ultra becoming on the majority of women, especially those who have worked so difficult to sculpt wonderful arms and shoulders for their big day.
Gone with the white and in with the bright! Well, sort of. You can now opt for muted shades of lavender, blush, coral, and many more. I’ve really taken a liking to the [traditional conventional] white or ivory bridal gown with hand detailing in colors like red, black, sage green, pink, blue or really any other color that you can imagine; and choosing the accessories to match is entertaining. Stacking mismatched pearl bracelets are a new finishing touch for these modern wedding gown designs.
I’ve seen a great deal of trumpet skirts on the runway and many bridal magazines, appearing to become a big hit. The trumpet skirt wedding gown hugs your curves down to your mid-thigh and then kicks out at the bottom in a charming touch. Most of other trumpet bridal gowns I’ve seen have a decent size train, usually three to four feet.
For those of you with great legs, why not show them off in a city-style, shorter wedding gown? I’ve even seen short wedding gowns at mid-thigh for a more casual, fun wedding. An antique champagne, strapless, ruffled lace is a very classy look in this style. I also appreciate the flirty look of a white feathered hem.
Bridal dresses this season are very romantic but yet playfully refined, and with the large range of options you can certainly choose a style that really plays on your personality.
The riches you can save by looking through these Home weddings will allocate additional room in your resources to buy a Beautiful Wedding Dresses!
