OK folks, it’s November already, the nights are getting longer and the temperature is falling fast! Christmas is fast approaching and will be here before you know it! It’s an excellent idea to get a move on and get some Christmas gift shopping done before it is too late. But what to buy? What toys will be hot this season? What television ads will implant themselves permanently in your children’s minds?

Instead of giving into TV advertisements and choosing something that’ll be forgotten about by Feb why not buy something that will last? So while thinking what would be the best Christmas gift for my 3 year old I decided on Lego Duplo, as our place already has a huge collection that gets brought out to be played with time and time again.

Both my hubby and I have memories of playing with Lego Duplo as children, so for our own youngsters to be able to play and learn with it on the same way as we did is really greatl. Both the brand and the toys themselves have endured the test of time. How often do you throw Lego Duplo away because it’s damaged? Never! They last forever!

Lego Duplo permits my children’s imaginations to run wild, from construction and role play, homes and trains, robots, cars, farms and much much more, there’s nothing that they can’t build with these great little bricks! They’re advised from ages 1 1/2 – 5 years and Lego Duplo bricks and figures are noticeably bigger than regular lego, making them a great preschool toy.

It is excellent for both genders – they even do sets of pink bricks if that is what you think your little princess would prefer. They can simply be thrown in the sink for a wash when they have been played with by sticky fingers!! The selection is huge and there is something to fit any kid. The Toy Story Sets are a favourite in our home, together with the School Bus, Pick Up Truck and Ambulance (with flashing lights and siren).

The only difficult thing to decide now is which product to buy to increase our ever growing collection!! Whatever I choose, I know it will be loved, and a firm favorite with my kids.
