Most of us have been in the position where we are rushing around at the last minute to find a suitable birthday present for someone. Often, we are too busy or forget that it is someone’s birthday until we have no time left to go shopping for something. So, what makes a great last minute birthday gift? Buying flowers as a birthday present is one option, and one which you can certainly get away with if the person you are giving them to is a woman. Whatever the time of year, you can be sure that there will always be a great bouquet of flowers available in your local florist. You can even order them online now and have them delivered the same day (if you order in the morning) or the following morning. Handing them over yourself is preferable though. Either way, make sure that you write (or type if you order online) a nice message for the card that will accompany the flowers. If you do not think flowers would be suitable, then how about a cake or chocolates? Whilst not exactly original ideas, if you put some thought and effort into your purchases then your friend or family member will certainly appreciate your present. What you have to do is go the extra yard, and not just pick something up from a supermarket. If going for a cake, get the fanciest one that you can find and get it personalized with a message on the top. If going for chocolates, either go for hand-made ones (bought though, not actually made by you) or spend some time thinking about the favorites of the person that you are giving them too. Another option, and this is really your only choice if you have forgotten about getting a birthday present until less than 30 minutes before you are meeting the person, is to take them out somewhere. Take them where? Well, a nice restaurant, to the theater or to a sports game are all good ideas. It being their birthday, they will probably already have plans for that evening, so you will to arrange it for some time during the following week. Do not let much more than a week pass before taking them out because then the moment will have passed. Those ideas will be enough to get yourself out a difficult decision and avoid disappointing your friend or family member. Of course, try not to get yourself in this situation in the first place – be more organized!
