Hugo BossPolarized Sunglasses Could Be The Best For Your Sight

Skin is not the only part of the body that needs protection from the sun. Both the visible and the invisible rays of the sun can cause temporary and permanent eye injuries. Fashion eyewear, like Hugo Boss sunglasses, not only look good, but can be good for you by minimizing the brightness of sunshine and reducing the potential risk of sun damage.

The bright glare of the sun causes discomfort to many and wearing Hugo Boss sunglasses can reduce this, as well as block any harmful radiation released by the sun. Children, in particular, should wear sunglasses as they are more at risk from harmful radiation, their eyes being more sensitive. Protective eyewear should also be worn by anyone involved in outdoor recreation or past times, like mountain climbing, skiing, snowboarding, or surfing.

The eyes are not protected from harmful radiation on overcast days. Ultraviolet (UV) light, as well as high-energy visible light (HEV), can still affect the health of the eye, even in cloudy weather. No matter what season it may be, sunglasses should be considered a normal accessory when being out of doors.

UV rays can’t be seen, being outside the spectrum of human sight. UVB is what causes skin to burn and the cancers that can develop from that. UVB radiation can also cause cancer in the eye. Sunglasses need to block a minimum of a hundred per cent UV radiation to be safe, and these days even ordinary spectacles offer UV protection.

The quantity of UVB radiation varies according to seasons and weather conditions, but protection should be considered at all times. Whether you are tanning in summer, or skiing in the winter, the sun’s rays can be equally damaging. The higher the altitude, the greater the exposure to UVB, with an increase in rays of twenty per cent for every five thousand feet of elevation.

Exposing your eyes to ultraviolet radiation causes injury to the retina, cornea and eye lens. By blocking out the potential harm of UV with sunglasses you can avoid cancers in the eye. Snow blindness and cataracts can also be prevented by remembering to wear protective eye-wear.

There are links between a high-energy visible light (HEV) and vision impairment in later life. HEV can break down the structure of the eye causing vision to deteriorate, particularly after the sixth decade of life. Makers of sunglasses are now starting to have their designs include HEV blockers in their products.

The eyes of children are affected even more than those of adults by the sun’s harmful rays. Just as you protect your child from sunburn, you should do the same for their eyes. Teaching children from a young age that sunshine can harm them will keep them healthier in later life. Making sunglasses a normal routine when they are out of doors can protect their eyes from harmful HEV and UVB rays.

Whenever outside, eyes should be protected from the effects of the sun. Keeping eyes safe from the sun’s rays with accessories like Hugo Boss sunglasses and other brands are a wise fashion statement. Not only are they stylish, but they also keep eyes safe from harm.
