How does an “Apple” pick the perfect swimsuit? I’m sure you know we don’t mean a fruit. We’re talking about one of the common body types. How do you determine if your shape is an Apple? Your bust and hip measurements are the answer. Apple shapes have a bust measurement that’s at least 3″ greater than the hip measurement.

What kind of swimwear should you wear to make yourself look more like the hourglass shape? A good choice is finding swimwear that will de-emphasize your bust and emphasize your hips. It’s also important to conside your cup size. Apple shapes usually have larger cup sizes such as C,D and bigger. So the bikini top must provide both ample support and draw attention away. That sounds like a tall order. However, it’s not that hard if you know what kind of swimwear to look at.

Apple shapes look good in Halter and Underwire tops. Both provide support and shape for large busts. You don’t need push-up pads if you’re choosing Underwire so make sure there are none or are removeable. Otheriwise you will look larger than you already are. You don’t want to create the opposite effect. There is a special style of Halter called a Banded Halter. There is added support from a “band” that goes all around the body right underneath the bust (unlike a typical Halter top). Solid dark colors are a good choice to take away any emphasis.

You want to emphasize and draw eyes to your bottom by choosing a good amount of fabric and embellishments. Stay away from tiny string bikini bottoms. Believe it or not, string bikini bottoms actually make your hips look slimmer. More shapely hips are what the Apple shape should look for. You can’t go wrong in choosing a hipster bottom for that effect. Make color choices that are bright. Solid and patterns are both great (a solid color top with a patterned bottom is ideal). Want some ideal bottom choices? Look for ruffles, ruching, shirring, rhinestones, beads, and metal rings.

There’s no need to be afraid of choosing swimsuits that look hot.  Whether it’s on the beach, at the pool, or anyplace else, you need to feel great and look confident in your sexy swimwear.
