Best Gift To Give To A Party Host

We’ve all been there. There is a party, you’ve been invited and your struggle to think of a gift. There is almost an unwritten rule that says you have to take something in return for them hosting the party and inviting you but sometimes it’s hard to know what they would like. Here are 3 suggestions that will always go down well and mean you will surely be invited back.

Wine. This is the most obvious gift and a very safe option. There is an argument that it is a little too predictable, but it is very good choice if you do not know the host very well. You should make the wine slightly more personal though by selecting one that you enjoy yourself or a wine that you picked up on holiday. This will show that the gift is a little more thoughtful and plus it will have a story that you can talk about. If the host doesn’t like wine, then how about a bottle of whisky and a whisky glass set?

Dinnerware. This is not as common a gift as wine as people sometimes think they will have to buy their host a whole set if they choose dinnerware as a gift. Don’t think you have to buy a whole set however, there are lots of stand-alone items which are very useful. How about a cheese board, wine cooler or dip bowl. If you’re really struggling then anything crystal glass makes a quality present.

Quirky gifts. If you fancy offering something out of the norm, opt for some that is cheap and fun. These are often good fun and because they are not expensive, they can be thrown out without too much guilt on their part. How about some light-up ice cubes that people can put in their drinks, or some funky tumblers that that change colour with the temperature of a drink. Whatever you get will be well received by you host though as it really is the thought that counts with these things
