An Additional Benefit From FitFlop Toning Shoes

The FitFlops shoe collection is turning out to be very popular with women everywhere. They are toning shoes – when you walk around in them they will help you to get a toning lower body workout for your legs and backside. It’s not too hard to see why busy women love these shoes – and there are plenty of reviews for them both online and offline.

One thing that you may not see so often in online reviews on the subject of FitFlops – but which will almost certainly be mentioned very early in the conversation if you speak to a FitFlop wearer – is the fact that FitFlops are wonderfully comfortable. Reviews, quite naturally, generally highlight the toning benefits associated with FitFlops. It’s hardly surprising – a shoe that gives you a lower body workout just by walking about in it is a pretty big deal.

This is achieved by the use of a specially shaped and designed sole which generates a small element of instability. The lower body muscles do their best to maintain the natural balance of the body and the result of this is that they do a little extra work.

However, the same sole which provides that lovely toning and trimming effect, also provides additional support for your feet – in the arch area in particular. It also increases the contact area between the sole of the foot and the sole of the shoe. That reduces the average pressure which the weight of your body exerts on the feet – and that’s what makes them so comfortable.

Should you have the chance to talk with a FitFlop owner then be prepared for the fact that many of them own more than one pair. Some people will actually have several pairs. The first pair are typically bought in order to get a free lower body workout. It’s the comfort factor that encourages them to buy further pairs. Be warned, FitFlops can actually be somewhat addictive.

It’s noteworthy that the newest addition to the FitFlop clogs range, the Gogh Pro clog – is specifically aimed at hospital and shift workers. Anybody who tends to spend a lot of their working day on their feet in other words. They have the exact same design of toning soles as all the other shoes in the FitFlop collection – the only difference is that it is no-mark, no-slip. They also feature a pivoting ankle strap for a secure, yet comfortable, fit with the ease and convenience of a slip-on shoe.

These have only recently hit the market in the UK and should be available in America shortly.
